Meet Corey Atherton, Suncadia Broker

If finding the perfect Suncadia property is a dream come true, then finding the right person to make that happen is equally important. At Suncadia, we have a team of brokers who are as passionate about the resort and community they work at as they are about helping families find their dream home. This week, we want to introduce you to Corey Atherton.

A broker with 15 years experience, Corey grew up in the Montana Rockies and has a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. A sunny mountainside community for people of all ages, Suncadia is a place close to Corey’s heart. When not working, Corey and his family spend a lot of their free time exploring the extensive trail system that connects all the Suncadia amenities—the restaurants, parks, winery, swim center, as well as the Cle Elum river conservation corridor. “The close proximity to greater Seattle, yet the feeling of being a world away, is the biggest perk of Suncadia,” he says.

In the six years he has worked at Suncadia, Corey has sold 125 properties to families who have fallen in love with Suncadia and all the community has to offer. “Owners love to come over on Friday, park their car, and never touch their vehicle again until they are ready to head back on Sunday.” Corey is excited to introduce potential buyers to a stunning home currently being built by Eide Homebuilders.

Spread over 3,549 square feet, the house at 240 Portal Court features 5 bedrooms plus a bonus bunk room. “This home will capture the essence of Suncadia with its southern sun exposure, elevated golf and green belt views, and mountain modern touches and design,” says Corey. “This home will have it all, and you can’t beat the close proximity to the paved trail system.”

Set on a quiet cul de sac, the home will be outfitted with soaring ceilings, sophisticated exterior metal accents and rustic modern interior finishes. Standout design features include a glass enclosed wine cabinet under the stairway, linear fireplace, a barn door in the master suite, engineered hardwood floors, and so much more. Outside, there will be a fire pit and spacious patio ready for a future hot tub. “The home could easily be used as an executive retreat, by a large family, for multi-generational family use, or even a multiple family purchase. It will also offer ideal vacation rental potential, if one so chooses,” says Corey.
