Good Times at Suncadia Begin With Giving Back

The arrival of the harvest season brought Suncadia many reasons to celebrate, beginning with the eponymous Harvest Festival and continuing into the year-end holidays—one of the most important reasons was the opportunity to contribute to the enrichment of lives and give back to the community.

From the Touch-A-Truck initiative, to the Give + Golf fundraiser, and to the ongoing Community Skate at the Village Pavilion, the Suncadia Fund for Community Enhancement has partnered with notable organizations to create unique avenues for lives better lived, for our residents and the larger community as a whole.

Our recently concluded Harvest Festival debuted the unique Touch-A-Truck initiative, a special event for little ones. Children could get up close and personal with big rigs for a ticket price, and a portion of the proceeds were donated to neighboring fire departments; this included a $3,000 contribution to the local Kittitas County Fire District 6.

Golf aficionados at Suncadia also had the opportunity to give back to those less privileged, with a unique day-long event in aid of Kittitas County’s local edition of Habitat For Humanity. At a special fundraiser on October 27, all players enjoyed discounts on greens fees at the Prospector Golf Course, with all proceeds from the day (over $3,500 ) going to Habitat For Humanity.

The season of giving continues into December and the New Year, with the ongoing Community Skate sessions at the Village Pavilion Ice Rink. If you haven’t checked out our impeccable outdoor rink yet, drop by on Tuesdays between 6.00pm and 9.00pm for an evening of fun with loved ones—don’t forget to bring in a non-perishable food donation, which will then be given to HopeSource, an organization that provides access to education, employment, economic development and vital services to the community.

Join us and be part of the season of giving at Suncadia—it’s the perfect way to spread joy and cheer through the community and ensure we all step into the New Year with smiles on our faces.
