If finding the perfect Suncadia property is a dream come true, then finding the right person to make that happen is equally important. At Suncadia, we have a team of brokers who are as passionate about the resort and community they work at as they are about helping families find their dream home in Cle Elum. This week, we chat with Jeff Gay and Miner’s Camp, a neighborhood where homes are designed to appeal to families.

SUNCADIA MEMORY
I have been with Suncadia Resort for 16 years as of this March! Before becoming a broker, I was a golf professional and helped build the Arnold Palmer-designed Prospector Course, digging ditches and laying pipe. I was subsequently the seeder for all the greens and fairways on the golf course. I helped out in the sales office as an assistant during the winter for many years, while working on the golf side during the golfing season. I was called upon many times to take clients golfing that were considering buying Suncadia properties. I can’t think of a better way to sell Suncadia homes than on the golf course!

THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW
I moved into Suncadia Real Estate Sales Company full time in 2007, as an assistant and then transitioning into a full time sales agent. I have since sold 49 homes as either the listing or selling agent as reported by Northwest Multiple Listing Service. I have also represented a large number of Cle Elum home buyers purchasing homes directly through individual sellers that would not have been reported through NWMLS.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Suncadia has progressed and assimilated to incorporate distinct ownership opportunities for all kinds of buyers. Suncadia has ownership options ranging from purely investment to primary residences, from secluded and private to center of the action location. My enjoyment involves assisting buyers to understand the options and find the best real estate opportunity for their personal lives.

ABOUT MINER’S CAMP

One community within Suncadia that I represent as the listing agent is Miner’s Camp.  Miner’s Camp is comprised of just 24 homes, centrally located in the resort. Miner’s Camp has seen 18 homes sold prior to or during construction. There are six homes currently under construction that are destined to be as popular as those sold in phase one.

THE LOCATION

Miner’s Camp was designed to appeal to those looking for quality homes, a community atmosphere, a place for kids to play. It’s not only a five-minute walk from swimming, golf and dining facilities but also offers incredible landscape and views that lighten moods and lets residents relax from the busyness of everyday life.

THE AESTHETIC
Built by Suncadia Featured Builder Jeff Stubbs of Tamarack Springs Construction, homes in Miner’s Camp are modest in stature and offer rustic yet sophisticated clean lines. What sets the homes in the neighborhood apart from the rest on the community is the interiors— thinks Quartz countertops, copper sinks, wood sliding barn doors, large beams in the great rooms and kitchens, tile showers with sliding glass doors, and extended covered patios and fire pits. Many of the homes have golf and expansive mountain views. Each one is more impressive than the next.

On March 17 from 11am – 2pm, we are hosting a special Home Tour event featuring 7 open houses, each one entirely unique yet a perfect escape when the coastal rain feels endless. Here is the Suncadia map for the self-guided tour so you can spend a few hours visiting the properties, all the while soaking in the vibrant community and the fresh mountain air.

Just 80 miles from Seattle, Suncadia is an escape that takes you from sea level to mountainside, from grey city to blue sky and an open window of possibilities. Becoming an owner at Suncadia makes every weekend, or any time, a vacation—no plane ticket or plans required.

After your tour, we invite you to stop by either of our two Real Estate Sales offices to learn more about the properties you visited and other properties for sale.

We look forward to seeing you!

At Suncadia, we know how important it is for members of our community to find a home they will love for years to come, one that fits their lifestyle and that they are happy to come home to weekend after weekend. That’s why we have partnered with some of the best home builders and architects in Washington. Meet Dave Gintz of Northwest Roots Construction.

Who We Are

My partner Bobby Graham and I have many years of experience in the construction and home building business. While I drive the acquisition and finance side of things, Bobby brings a lot of industry expertise in project management. In July 2018 we partnered to launch Northwest Roots Construction and have since built 28 homes in Suncadia and are working on another development in the community, and are still finalizing the name of it.

Designing for Suncadia

We really go for that lodge mountain flair to our developments but we also make sure the design is current, particularly with the color schemes and finishes. I call the look mountain modern but my wife says it’s more rustic industrial. That sounds cooler!

Many buyers want that rustic feel to their homes and that means hardwood floors, earthy color palettes and lots of beams. They really gravitate towards that cabin in the woods feel and the fact that there are so many of those in Suncadia is cool.

While other builders go for a contemporary mountain home look, which includes features like shed roofs, we have preferred to maintain more of a traditional architecture style—meaning steep pitches on the roof, heavy timbers, and beam work. We also try to provide a lot of outdoor living spaces. The 300+ days of sun annually is what attracts a lot of people to Suncadia so creating homes that take advantage of natural light and offer inviting outdoor living spaces is key.

Custom Work

Because we often end up having buyers in the course of construction, we do a lot of custom work. In fact, 26 of the 28 homes we built featured a lot of custom finishes. We love working with clients to create a home they will love for years to come. And we are very excited to be part of Suncadia and plan to be a featured builder for the next 20 years. There’s a lot of development going on in the community and we are grateful to be part of it.

Under Development

Our niche is identifying opportunities and filling a need and what we see that being in Suncadia is that lower price point home. Currently, we are building 24 townhomes that feel luxurious but are affordable. The project is phased, we have currently broken ground on four units and will be bringing an additional 14 units under development in the spring. The remaining six will come online in the summer.

What’s exciting about the townhomes is not only the location right across the street from Talisman Village but also the views. The development shares a property line with the Swim & Fitness Center and everything else is walking distance—from the spa to the winery and lodge. The townhomes are south facing, which means lots of light, and also great views of a lake. The best part is that the homes start at $400,000. That’s a very attractive price in Suncadia!
