Meet Bob Kenney, Suncadia Broker

If finding the perfect Suncadia property is a dream come true, then finding the right person to make that happen is equally important. At Suncadia, we have a team of brokers who are as passionate about the resort and community they work at as they are about helping families find their dream home. This week, we want to introduce you to Bob Kenney.

A Washington native with a serious fishing habit, Bob leveraged his senior management experience at Fortune 100 companies like Proctor and Gamble and Nabisco Brands to launch a second career in real estate. In the last decade, Bob has sold hundreds of condos, homes and homesites at Suncadia. “The best part of Suncadia is the friendships that have blossomed from people who visit often or have become owners,” says Bob. “Connecting these owners and friends to others, and watching new friendships develop is really the ‘community’ I identify with most.”

Bob is particularly excited about this listing on Powder Cap Court, a spectacular new house designed in a traditional mountain architectural style. Just under 3,000 square feet, it features an open floor plan for living and eating, along with 5 bedrooms and lots of usable outside space. A luxurious traditional mountain retreat, the home features lots of wood, vaulted ceilings and expansive outdoor living area. A massive patio is perfect for an outdoor kitchen and hot tub, and offers plenty of space to entertain.

“This home is perfect for two families since it has two master bedrooms and three others for kids and friends,” he says. Should the owner want to generate some income while they are not there, the house is sure to be a high-demand vacation rental because of its size and location. “From the house, you can see Tipple Hill and the pond that’s adjacent to hole number 10 of the family friendly Roper Rider golf course; you can hear the music from Swiftwater Winery during the summer concerts; and just down the street is the 20-acre Dawson Park where you can fly a kite or play Frisbee golf.”

Bob thinks of Suncadia as “basecamp”—albeit a basecamp with amenities you’d expect at a Four Diamond resort. “The excursions and destinations outside the gates are as valuable and enjoyable as the amenities that are inside,” he says. Indeed, Bob and his recently retired wife are so drawn to Suncadia that they are planning to move here and become full time members of the community. Like the residents who already call Suncadia home—and the future owners of the home on 31 Powder Cap Court—he looks forward to days of relaxation and maybe even just lazing about in luxury. And, of course, for those days when appetite turns to the adventure beyond, there’s everything from hiking and mountain biking to cycling and fishing just beyond Suncadia’s 6,400 acres.
