An Evening at Bellevue’s Swiftwater Cellars with Tumble Creek VIPs

If you’ve spent any time in Suncadia, you’ve probably spent time at Swiftwater Cellars, sipping full-bodied reds and crisp whites in the private dining space, or by the lounge around the massive rock fireplace. Recently, Swiftwater Cellars opened a tasting room and restaurant on Main Street in Old Bellevue, where they combine the rustic roots of Cle Elum with a modern twist of the city.

The Suncadia Real Estate team and the Tumble Creek membership department knew as soon as the Bellevue location opened that it would be a special place to visit with friends, members and neighbors. And so on January 31, the two teams co-hosted Tumble Creek owners and guests for an evening of food, wine and conversation in the private room at Swiftwater Cellars. “It was great to see so many members and future members getting to know each other and sharing anecdotes about the Tumble Creek lifestyle,” said Richard Seay, Vice President of Suncadia Real Estate. “It was also exciting that our venue was at Swiftwater’s new location in Bellevue—especially considering what a big part of our community the winery plays at Suncadia.”

During the evening, some 100 guests were treated to tasty bites like lobster fondue with crostini, crab cake sliders, and tuna tataki, and got to sample many Swiftwater Cellars wines, including the standout 2012 No. 9 Pinot Noir, a delicious red with aromas of damp earth, and dusty cherry. While everyone enjoyed the food and wine, one prominent topic of discussion was, of course, life at Tumble Creek.

Tumble Creekers are a tight-knit cohort, and during the event many shared stories of bonding on the golf course or at the pool, and enjoying one another’s company at the Club or in each other’s homes. Though Tumble Creek community-building happens naturally among neighbors, we at Suncadia do everything we can to help it along. Our roster of events includes monthly Corkscrew wine club gatherings, movie nights, Father’s Day fly-fishing, golf cart parades, bicycle scavenger hunts, and much more. Tumble Creek membership may be exclusive, but the community here is welcoming and inclusive.
