On the east side of the majestic cascade mountains, just 80 miles from the cityscapes of Seattle lies a sanctuary we call Suncadia. Familiar but refreshing, intimate yet expansive, this impeccable mountain resort community has, over the past few years, grown into its stature of being a welcoming four-season family destination—where intimate neighborhoods dot the sprawling landscape, where adventure and allure live side by side. Now more than ever people are seeking the fresh air and space away from traditional cities and suburbs offered in Suncadia.

One of the newest neighborhoods in Suncadia is River Ridge, a decidedly modern enclave where a collection of homesites opens to miles of trails leading into surrounding woods and the Cle Elum River. As part of a recent expansion, new homesites are now available in this gated community, some offering views over expansive mountains, others atop the ridge overlooking the Cle Elum River, and some opening out to endless trails. With most of these new ready-to-build homesites already sold, now is the time to explore River Ridge, meet with our expert on-site team who will help you find and build your dream home.

Getting to your River Ridge home is easier than ever with the new entrance that’s just off the Nelson Farm, a convivial gathering place that hosts neighborhood catch-ups, wind-downs and playdates. In the summer enjoy the Nelson Farm Pool, barbeques and games at the farm-house lawn, cocktails at the pool grill and firepit. Needless to say, you’re never too far away from Suncadia’s winding hiking and biking trails, which are perfect in winter for our new family-friendly cross-country loop where you can enjoy skiing, snowshoeing and more. That’s not all; all of Suncadia’s enjoyable amenities, from the golf courses to the dining venues, from the spa to the Swim & Fitness Center are within reach, making your time here as lively or laidback as you want it to be.

River Ridge is not just a place to stay, it is a place to build a life, an opportunity to escape into nature easily and instantly. Get in touch with us today to schedule a tour and find your spot in the sun.

The arrival of the cooler months sets the scene for truly memorable moments at Suncadia, with the changing hues of the leaves, crisp mountain air and clear skies creating the perfect backdrop for a season of celebration within the community. And in today’s times of social distancing, it is more important than ever to take the time to enjoy these moments of celebration. That’s why we at Suncadia have crafted unique fall experiences that are designed to make the most of the season, while staying mindful of the new normal.

Kick-start the season with a visit to Suncadia’s Pumpkin Patch, a special initiative at The Village Pavilion designed to make your time in the community even more vibrant and cheerful. Walk through an orange-dotted patch bursting with ripe fruit, pick up a pumpkin and get a family photo taken in the patch; rest assured we will be following all county-mandated rules and restrictions to make this event as safe and socially distant as possible.

Of course, the end of the month brings that all-important night—Halloween! This year, we’re part of Upper Kittitas County’s innovative Drive-thru Trick-or-Treat event on October 31, where kids can visit Roslyn, Suncadia and Cle Elum to collect three bags of goodies! After that, kids of all ages can also join us for a fireside Spooky Stories event—the perfect way to wrap up the season!

Of course, this is just half the story; all of Suncadia’s outdoor experiences, like archery, hiking, fishing, camping and more are still available to one and all. So make sure that you get in your last fix of all things nature, before winter is upon us. As always, we hope you stay safe and socially distant as you prepare for the season ahead.

Suncadia from a new perspective

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and pictures of Suncadia—well, they’re worthy of epic tales. What else would you expect from a place that’s the epitome of modern mountain living, where home is not a place, but a feeling?

Recently, we decided it was time to author these epics, which is why we partnered with Reese Films and photographer Michael Flugstad to capture all the reasons, big and small, that made life in Suncadia better than anywhere else. For starters, we brainstormed about all the things that made our mountain resort community unique, like hiking and biking trails, four seasons of family fun, rafting and fishing, golf and wine tasting, dog parks and playgrounds—needless to say, the more we talked, the longer the list got.

But the real surprise was when we began the process of filming and capturing these moments; although we have been part of the community for years, it was almost as though we were rediscovering all of Suncadia’s treasures almost as though for the first time. Blue skies, inviting waters and lush green landscapes all punctuated by the warm smiles of our friendly neighbors—for a moment we almost forgot that we were at work and not just enjoying a day out with friends!

Of course, the task of capturing candid moments that describe the delightful and diverse experiences in the community is not an easy one—depending on weather and availability, shooting will continue across different locations for a while. If you happen to see Dan Redwine, the marketing manager for Suncadia Real Estate with the crew from Reese films, make sure to stop by and say hello; who knows, you might end up being cast in the next Suncadia commercial!

If you haven’t already, check out @suncadia, @reesefilms and @michaelflugstad on Instagram and Facebook, where you can sneak a peek at Suncadia’s new Stories, and enjoy little hints and fun anecdotes from the wild world of video production and photography.

We hope these stories and the way we tell them inspire you to do more of what you love with who you love—in Suncadia, our four-season slice of paradise set on the sunny side of the cascades.
